I've heard today that some people have been asked to sign a form after receiving the flu jab. Have any of you had to sign anything? and if so, what was it?

I'd be very grateful for any info. before I go for mine on Monday Scared

Thanks

Hiya Jean,
i only had to sign a form to confirm i agreed to take part in a research project being run by the Health Protection agency who were there researching antibody production results. This was completely voluntary and there was no pressure to be involved, i just decided to do this as i thought it might be helpful.
Im glad i had it now, my arm was achy for a couple of days but looking back this didnt last too long, its just i did my xmas shopping the next day which was bad planning but the girls helped me so not too bad really...
I will think of you on Monday, i need to have a second one friday (because on sulphasalazine)xxx
Love Liz xxxxx

So did your Mum have blood taken after the jab Inky, like Lizzie did or was it just to sign that she'd had the jab?

I wasn't asked to sign anything for my normal flu or swine flu jabs, although there's a possibility they might when I go back for the second swine flu dose on 16th?

Hi Jean, no I didnt sign anything, nor did my hubby, we had ours done about a month ago. All I had was an achy arm and a little swollen in the area of the injection. Had seasonal flu at the same time. Good luck

Thanks, that's really helpful. I knew that some peope had a form to sign, but wanted to check if it was some sort of disclaimer - ever suspicious, that's me!

Steve doesn't want me to have it but I still don't know what to do. It's all confused even further as one of our beloved cats will probably have to be put to sleep tomorrow, so I can't really get my head round anything today!
Lots of love

So sorry to hear about your beloved pet Jean. I had my cat Bertie for 16 years and I couldn't tell anyone how upset I was for weeks after he passed away. They become part of the family don't they? Put the appointment off Jean if you're not sure. Take care.

So sorry to hear about your cat Jean. It is so sad when you have had a friend for a long time.

My husband had the swine flu jab yesterday. Signed nothing and feels fine. Very slightly tender arm but nothing else.
Good luck if you decide to go ahead.

Dear Jean

It's so sad when we know the end of our beloved pet is near and I really feel for you. I just hope everything goes smoothly.

Regarding the swine flu jab, I didn't have to sign anything and haven't had any side effects. I just feel relieved that I'm protected.

Good luck for tomorrow.

Love Brenda
